Description

Posted in Categories: Birds -  Defiled -

As my collection grows it becomes less and less likely that I post some subject for the very first time. I posted an adult silvereye from the Lumix back in October. Today we have two tiny little chaps who, despite appearances, are only days away from being fledged. Having been upset from their nest by a cat, they were both on an injectable antibiotic course. As you can probably imagine, giving an injection to something as miniscule as this is a bit of a challenge. Simply ensuring you have the correct dose in the syringe to begin with (we use a 10:1 dilution process in this case) isn't trivial either!

Beautiful - such lovely colours and they look tiny!

Too cute. :-) I wouldn't fancy going anywhere near them with a needle. Be scared I'd kill them.

Birds are gorgeous. Fantastic shot (as per the norm). Impressed with the cleanliness of the fingernails too. I like seeing props in good order! ;)
