This is an image that didn't get included from a series I posted early in the history of this blog. It was before my format had really sorted itself. Upon reflection I think this one is better than many of those others anyway. It certainly carries a level of heat. It was taken with a 1.6 second exposure on the tiny eBay freebee tripod I got with my old DiMAGE Z2. Lieing on the road in front of the fire to shoot this was a funky experience. The only photoshop mod is a bit of selective sharpening on the fire tender.

    Cheers David. It was an impressive fire. It burnt for over 2 days before they got it under control. While I was shooting this explosions would rock the air every half a minute or so as fuels and oils in various car bodies went boom.
